Working
on Your Behalf
Tri-State
Business Group on Health (TSBGH) is a non-profit organization
that was created by businesses in the Evansville-area to
advocate for them in their quest for providing quality and
affordable health care coverage for their employees - something
that cannot be taken for granted. Basically, if you are a
business in the Evansville-area (including Southwest Indiana and
Northwest Kentucky), we are here for you and because of
you. Together, large, mid-size and small companies work
together to add value and innovation in the health marketplace.
How
We Bring Value To You
Networking
is vital and TSBGH offers member companies the opportunity to
network and collaborate with other employers striving to create
better and innovative health care options. Through our
membership in the National Business Coalition on Health (NBCH), TSBGH
members receive expertise, resources and a voice that represents
our community-based interests at a national level.
We
believe that working together is key and TSBGH continually
explores opportunities for group action. TSBGH offer
members the ability to participate in a large, group purchasing
program that allows them to manage prescription drug benefits
under a flexible, innovative and cost-effective pharmacy benefit
plan.
Advocacy
and assistance is also important because many employers do not
have the time or expertise to create the most cost-effective
benefit programs. TSBGH works side-by-side with member
companies to provide advisory assistance with plan design and
analysis at the planning stages, during implementation and
beyond.
Benchmarking
is critical so to help member companies analyze their health
plan design and costs, TSBGH conducts an annual survey of health
plans among Southwestern Indiana and Northwestern Kentucky
employers. TSBGH creates regional, normative benchmark
reports aggregating the experience of area businesses offering
HMO, PPO and Point-of-Service plan options.
Education
and information is power and TSBGH provides opportunities for
members and company representatives to stay current on emerging
health care issues from both a regional and national
perspective. Timely communication in provided to members
via Email providing member companies with federal, state and
local health care updates.

TSBGH
Members
TSBGH members are large, mid-size, and
small businesses. They have fully-insured and/or self-funded health plans
for their employees. They are headquartered in this region or are one
location of a national company. Despite the wide number of differences,
all members share one common trait:
Their employees
get their health care in this region which means they have a
vested interest in the quality and cost of that care.
